Yesterday we celebrated Earth Day. Mainly in Columbus we celebrated the rain aspect of our Earth! After hearing about all that people were doing for the Earth and all of the TV stations giving suggestions, I thought, why not get involved with 4-H and Extension?! Extension has been promoting and continuing to educate people through the "Why Trees Matter" program. It is even one of the title pictures that comes up on the Ohio State homepage. Also 4-H has been offering nature projects along with projects like recycling, solar energy, and many others revolving around the Earth. People view the idea of "going green" a new thing when 4-H and Extension have been using this concept for quiet awhile.
